Adding objects to layouts
Besides fields, layouts can include text, objects, and frames. These items appear whenever the layout part containing them is visible.
Adding objects to a layout
To add text to a layout:

If you're not already in Layout mode, choose Layout from the Layout menu. |

Choose a layout from the Layout menu. |

Select the text frame tool from the Tools window. |

If you don't see the Tools window, choose Show Tools from the Window menu. |

Click with the I-beam pointer where you want to add the text, then click or drag to create a text box. |

Type the text. |

To edit text, use standard text-editing methods for selecting, deleting, copying, and pasting. |
To draw an object on a layout:

If you're not already in Layout mode, choose Layout from the Layout menu. |

Choose a layout from the Layout menu. |

Select a drawing tool from the Tools window and draw the object where you want it to appear. |
To add a frame to a layout:

If you're not already in Layout mode, choose Layout from the Layout menu. |

Choose a layout from the Layout menu. |
3 |
Add a frame. |
Deleting objects from a layout
To delete text or an object from a layout:

If you're not already in Layout mode, choose Layout from the Layout menu. |

Choose a layout from the Layout menu. |
3 |
Select the text box or object you want to delete. |

Choose Cut or Clear from the Edit menu, or press the Delete key. |
