Erasing portions of a painted image

To erase portions of an image:
1 Select the eraser in the Tools window:
2 Position the eraser where you want to erase, and click or drag to erase a wider area.
Tip: To constrain the eraser's movement to horizontal or vertical, hold down the Shift key while you drag. To erase an area smaller than the size of the eraser, zoom in until the eraser is an appropriate size.

    To erase an entire painting:
    Double-click the eraser.

If you can't select the eraser:
If you are working in a painting frame, make sure you enter the frame to edit it. If you see the Arrange menu and not the Transform menu, you are in a drawing document and must use a different method for deleting objects. (Because there are significant differences between painting and drawing features, it is important to choose whether to paint or draw before you begin creating something.)
