If you can't select a frame:
If you are in a painting document, you can't reselect a frame after you deselect it. The frame becomes a paint image, which you can select with the selection rectangle or the lasso.

Entering a frame to edit it

To enter a frame (so that you can work in it):
If the frame is selected, click it.
If the frame is not selected, double-click the frame with the arrow.

Once you enter the frame, you can edit it with the menus and tools that appear.

If you can't find a text frame you created:
You probably clicked outside the frame before typing anything in it. Create the frame again and enter text in it before clicking outside the frame.

If you can't select an object in a spreadsheet frame:
Open the frame as a separate window and select the object with the arrow in the Tools window.

Deselecting a frame

    To deselect a frame:
Click outside the frame, or press the Enter key.
