To delete an image and place it on the Clipboard for pasting elsewhere:
Select an image or part of an image and choose Cut from the Edit menu.

If you delete something by mistake:
Choose Undo Clear from the Edit menu to restore it. (This command works only on the last action you performed.)

    If you can't select something:
If the item is in a painting frame, make sure you enter the frame to edit it. If you see the Arrange menu and not the Transform menu, you are in a drawing document and must use a different method for deleting objects. (Because there are significant differences between painting and drawing features, it is important to choose whether to paint or draw before you begin creating something.)
