Moving painted images
Moving images by dragging
To move an image by dragging:
|
Select the image and drag it to a new position. |
|
Tip: To constrain the image's motion to horizontal or vertical, hold down the Shift key as you drag. |
|
Tip: To move objects more freely, so that they do not automatically align with an invisible grid, turn autogrid off. |
Moving images in small increments
To move an image in small increments:
|
Select the image and press one of the arrow keys. |
|
The image moves one autogrid unit at a time (or, if autogrid is turned off, one pixel at a time). |
If you can't select something:
If the item is in a painting frame, make sure you enter the frame to edit it. If you see the Arrange menu and not the Transform menu, you are in a drawing document and must use a different method for selecting items. (Because there are significant differences between painting and drawing features, it is important to choose whether to paint or draw before you begin creating something.)
