Clippings can require a lot of memory. You may want to increase the memory available to AppleWorks before you begin.

To insert a clipping from the Clippings window into a document:

1	If the Clippings window is not open, choose Show Clippings from the File menu.
2	Prepare the document:
	• To make the clipping appear inline with the text, place the insertion point by clicking in the document at the place you want the clipping to appear. • If you do not want the clipping to appear inline with text, click the arrow in the Tools window. (To open the Tools window, choose Show Tools from the Window menu.)
3	Locate and select the clipping, then drag it to your document.

Tip: When you add a clipping to a painting, position it before clicking outside it. (When you click outside the selection, it becomes a part of the painting and may be difficult to move without affecting other parts of the painting.)
