Inserting clippings into documents

Clippings can require a lot of memory. You may want to increase the memory available to AppleWorks before you begin.

To insert a clipping from the Clippings window into a document:
1 If the Clippings window is not open, choose Show Clippings from the File menu.
    2 Prepare the document:
To make the clipping appear inline with the text, place the insertion point by clicking in the document at the place you want the clipping to appear.
If you do not want the clipping to appear inline with text, click the arrow in the Tools window. (To open the Tools window, choose Show Tools from the Window menu.)
3 Locate and select the clipping, then drag it to your document.

Tip: When you add a clipping to a painting, position it before clicking outside it. (When you click outside the selection, it becomes a part of the painting and may be difficult to move without affecting other parts of the painting.)
