Increasing available memory

If you are running out of memory, you can increase the memory available to AppleWorks with the Get Info command.

To allocate more memory to AppleWorks:
1 Quit AppleWorks if it is open.
2 In the Mac OS Finder, click once to select the AppleWorks icon.
3 Choose Get Info from the File menu and choose Memory from the submenu.
4 Enter a larger number in the Preferred Size box.
5 If necessary, type a larger number in the Minimum Size box. The minimum size is the smallest amount of memory with which a program can open. It should not be less than the Suggested Size.

Note: Some older versions of the Mac OS have a slightly different method for adjusting memory usage. If the method described here does not work for you, refer to the documentation that came with your computer.
