Inserting page breaks or column breaks

When you reach the end of a page (or column, if your document has multiple columns), text automatically flows to the next page (or column) as you type. You can specify that text "break" where you want by inserting a page or column break.

Tip: You can specify how AppleWorks starts a section (on a new page, left page, or right page).

To insert a page or column break:
1 Place the insertion point at the end of the word, line, or paragraph where you want the break to occur.
2 Choose Insert Page Break or Insert Column Break from the Format menu.
Tip: You can see the break character by showing formatting characters.

To remove a page or column break:
Place the insertion point at the beginning of the line following the break and press the Delete key.
