Changing table border and cell border styles

    You can change the border style of a single cell, a range of cells, or any line segment (cell border) in a table. You can also change the color and width of the line enclosing the entire table (the table border).

Changing cell borders

    To change the line style of cell borders:
    1 Select the cell(s) or border(s).
    2 Choose Line Styles from the Table menu and select a style from the submenu.
    Tip: The Tools and Accents windows give you different options for changing line styles.

Changing a table border

    To change the width or color of a table border:
    1 Select the table.
    Note: For inline frames, you must select all cells in the table.
    2 If the Tools window is not open, choose Show Tools from the Window menu, or click the toolbox icon at the bottom of the active document:
    3 Click the Pen formatting button:
    4 To choose a new color, click the Color palette button:
    Then choose a color.
    5 To change the line width, click the Line Width palette button:
    Then choose the desired line width.

    You can also change the table border by using the Accents window.
