Rotating an image freely
To rotate an image freely:

Select an image. |

Choose Free Rotate from the Transform menu. |

Drag one of the square handles. |
4 |
To remove the handles, click outside the image. |
Rotating an image by an exact angle
To rotate an image by an exact angle:

Select an image. |

Choose Rotate from the Transform menu. (To rotate by 90 degrees, choose Rotate 90 from the Transform menu and skip step 3.) |

Type an angle of rotation and click OK. |

To remove the handles, click outside the image. |
If you can't rotate something with the methods described above:
If the item is in a painting frame, make sure you enter the frame to edit it. If you see the Arrange menu and not the Transform menu, you are in a drawing document and must use a different method for rotating items. (Because there are significant differences between painting and drawing features, it is important to choose whether to paint or draw before you begin creating something.)
