Setting the tab order for data entry

    In Browse mode, you can move from field to field by pressing the Tab key. The order in which you move between fields, called the tab order, is determined initially by the order in which you created the fields. You can change the tab order for more convenient data entry.

    To change the tab order of fields:
    1 If you're not already in Browse or Layout mode, choose Browse or Layout from the Layout menu.
    2 Choose Tab Order from the Layout menu.
    3 Click Clear to remove all field names from the current tab order list (on the right).
    4 In the list on the left, select the first field you want in the new tab order list, then click Move.
    Tip: You can also double-click a field name to move it.
    5 Continue moving field names to the tab order list.

    Note: Changing the tab order does not change the order of the fields on the layout. Switch to Layout mode (choose Layout from the Layout menu) to rearrange fields.
