A header or footer part appears only on the layout where you put the part. (In contrast, a document header or footer appears on every page of the database document regardless of which layout you are viewing.)

You can add graphics and text to other layout parts. You can include fields and field names by dragging them from other parts of the layout.

To insert a header or footer part onto a layout:

1	If you're not already in Layout mode, choose Layout from the Layout menu.
2	Choose a layout from the Layout menu.
3	Choose Insert Part from the Layout menu.
4	Select Header or Footer.
