Adding Web-formatted images not using Smart Objects

You can add Web-safe images directly to your Web page in GoLive. You won't have any of the benefits of Smart Objects. However, you might choose to add the images directly if, for example, you already have images in a Web-safe format that you never plan to edit or modify, and you want to add the images to your page.

GoLive supports GIF, GIF89a, GIF i-mode 1-bit, GIF i-mode 256, JPEG, Progressive JPEG, PNG, and WBMP formats. To add images in SVG and SWF format, you must use the Plug-in icon from the Basic set Basic set button in the Objects palette. For more information about adding SVG and SWF files, see Adding media to a Web page.

Note: You must use the Smart Object workflow if you drag an Illustrator (AI), a Photoshop (PSD), or a LiveMotion (LIV) file into the Layout Editor. (See Adding images to a Web page using Smart Objects.)
