Interacting with your network administrator

Using Network Assistant, your network administrator can manage your computer for you. You can use Network Assistant to contact your administrator for help. Together, the two of you can share control of your screen to solve problems and answer questions.

    To use Network Assistant:
1 Make sure the Network Assistant workstation software is installed on your computer: open the Help menu and look for the About Network Assistant command.
If you see this command, the software is installed.
2 If your administrator shares the password with you, you can adjust the administrator access privileges for your computer using the Network Assistant Security application.
Note: If you're working on a NetBoot computer, your administrator needs to set the privileges.

If you don't see the About Network Assistant command in the Help menu or can't find the Network Assistant Security application:
The Network Assistant software may not be installed on your computer. To use Network Assistant, you or your administrator must install it.
