Setting administrator access privileges

You can set the Network Assistant administrator access privileges to allow your administrator to create reports about your computer hardware, software, and network connections; maintain your software and documents; repair your hard disk; open and quit applications on your computer; shut down and restart your computer; and interact with you by talking, exchanging messages, or controlling your screen.

To change the way an administrator can access your computer remotely, use the Network Assistant Security application.

Open Network Assistant Security application for me.

If you don't know the Network Assistant password:
    Check with your network administrator.

When you select an option, the access privilege takes effect immediately. If you enter information about your computer, your administrator can view it in Network Assistant. For example, you can enter an inventory number, or enter your name and telephone number so an administrator can contact you if there is a problem with your computer.
