Using spoken commands to work with your computer
You can use spoken commands to work with your computer by using the Speakable Items feature. For example, you can use a spoken command to open an application program or shut down the computer. Note: Before you can set up your computer to use spoken commands, you must install the speech recognition software. However, some versions of system software do not come with speech recognition. To see if you can install this software, use the Custom Install option in your Mac OS Installer and look for the Speech Recognition checkbox, or look in the CD Extras folder on your system software CD.
