To use your CD or DVD drive to listen to a standard audio CD (the ones found in music stores), use iTunes.
If you don't have iTunes, you can get it at www.apple.com/itunes
If you can't hear any sound:
| • | If you're using external speakers, make sure your speakers are connected and the volume is turned up. |
| • | Make sure the volume of the computer's speaker is turned up and that the sound isn't muted. |
| • | Make sure the volume control in iTunes is not turned down too low and that playback is not paused. |
| • | Check the setting for the computer speakers, headphones, or external speakers in the Output and Speakers sections of the Sound control panel. |
