Setting file access privileges

    Whether you share files using network file sharing or Personal Web Sharing, you can specify who has access to your files and what type of access they have.

    To set access privileges for an item:
    In the Finder, select the item, open the File menu and choose Get Info, then choose Sharing from the submenu. Then, select access privileges for users or groups of users.

    To create users and groups of users:
    Open the File Sharing control panel and click the Users & Groups tab.
