Accessing files on other computers
While your computer is connected to a network, you can open or save files in shared folders or volumes on other computers in the network. Depending on the application you're using, the Open and Save commands in the File menu may display dialog boxes that include a Shortcuts button. If so, you can connect to the server and open or save files from within the application. To connect to a server from within an application: If your application doesn't offer the Shortcuts button: To connect to an AppleShare server: You can also use the Network Browser application to locate and open shared folders and volumes offered by AppleShare servers or other file services (like FTP). Tip: To avoid typing a password every time you access a network server, create a keychain that contains your passwords for frequently accessed volumes.
