If there's a sequence of actions that you perform frequently in AppleWorks, you can create a macro to automate the process.

You create a macro by recording a series of actions to which you assign a keyboard command and/or a new button in the Button Bar. You can also create macros that run automatically in specified circumstances.

Note: Macros created on Macintosh computers do not work on Windows computers, and vice versa.
