Creating a Lean rolloverLean rollovers do not have all the advantages of Smart rollovers such as support for nested Actions (including third-party Actions) and support for exporting the JavaScript code to the JavaScript Library file. (See About creating rollovers in GoLive.) However, Lean rollovers ensure leaner code and may be more practical if you give your HTML page to a Web programmer who plans to hand-code the JavaScript (the lean code is simpler for a programmer to replace). If you are not working with a Web programmer who plans to create the JavaScript code manually, you should use Smart rollovers for best results. To create a Lean rollover:
GoLive automatically searches for Over and Down images based on the Rollover Settings naming conventions. (See Assigning rollover images automatically.) When GoLive finds the images, GoLive links the Over and Down states of the rollover object to the Over and Down images. Note: Like Smart rollovers, you can assign the Over and Down images manually in the Rollover tab of the Image Inspector. |
