Using a text variable in a Photoshop file
If a multilayered PSD file is added to the Layout Editor, GoLive will detect if it has a text layer. If so, GoLive will treat the topmost text layer as a text variable and open the Variable Settings dialog box. In the dialog box, you can change the text content.
To set the text variable in a Photoshop file: - Add a PSD file with a text layer to the Layout Editor. The Variable Settings dialog box opens.
- Do one of the following:
- Select the Use option for a text variable and enter text in the text box to change the original text. If you select the Use option for a text variable and don't enter any text, the original text is deleted. GoLive will treat the empty text box as the new value of the text variable.
- Leave the Use option unselected to accept the original text as is.
- Click OK.
