Using the Layout tab toolbar
The toolbar for the Layout tab in the movie viewer window provides the following buttons: - The Position/Resize Track button
lets you move or resize a track. Move a track by dragging it from anywhere inside its boundaries, and resize a track by dragging a blue handle. If the Snap feature is on, any change you make in position or size snaps to the closest grid coordinate. To have more flexibility in track placement, turn off snap by choosing View > Snap. To show and hide the grid or rulers, choose View > Show/Hide Grid or View > Show/Hide Rulers. - The Skew Track button
lets you reshape a track into a parallelogram by dragging a blue handle. - The Rotate Track button
lets you rotate a track in any direction by dragging a blue handle, up to a complete rotation of 360 degrees. - The Lock Track button
and the Unlock Track button let you lock and unlock a track. When you select a locked track, GoLive dims the track's handles in the Layout tab to prevent you from making any changes. GoLive also displays "Locked" in parentheses after the track name in the track content area of the Timeline Editor and disables the track's properties in the Inspectors. - The Bring To Front button
brings the selected track to the top of the layering order. You can bring the selected track forward one layer at a time by choosing Movie > Track > Bring Forward.
You can also change the layering order of tracks by dragging them in the Timeline Editor. (See Setting the layering order of tracks.)
- The Send To Back button
sends the selected track to the bottom of the layering order. You can send the selected track backward one layer at a time by choosing Movie > Track > Send Backward.
