Creating and opening QuickTime movies
You can create a new movie or open an existing movie, either of which are displayed in the movie viewer window.
To create a new movie: - Choose File > New Special > QuickTime Movie. The New QuickTime Movie dialog box appears.
- Enter a name in the Name text box.
- Do one of the following:
- Choose the movie size from the Sizes menu.
- Enter pixel values in the corresponding text boxes.
- Select a background color or leave the default choice, which is white. The color you select becomes the color of the default color track, which you can change at any time. (See About the default color track.)
- Click OK. GoLive creates a new movie and displays the default color track in the movie viewer window.
- Click the Show Timeline Window button
to display the Timeline Editor.
To open an existing movie: - Choose File > Open, navigate to the movie file, and then open it. The movie opens in the Preview tab in the movie viewer window.
- Click the Show Timeline Window button
to display the Timeline Editor, which lists the existing tracks associated with the movie.
