Specifying preferences and settings for Web sitesWhen you manage a Web site, it's important to specify several preferences and site-specific settings that affect the site. The Site preferences establish the way you manage all sites and include settings for general file and folder management, Filename Constraints, Status, Clean Up Site, Export, Upload/Sync Times, Design Colors, and Link Types. In addition to the Site preferences, you can also specify site-specific settings for FTP and WebDAV servers, URL Handling, URL Mappings, Dynamic Content, Design Colors, and Workgroup Servers. The site-specific settings override the Site preferences. For information on setting up FTP and WebDAV servers, see Setting up FTP access, or the Adobe Web Workgroup Server User Guide. Two other categories of application-wide preferences that also affect the management of all sites are the Script Library preferences and Network preferences. The Script Library preferences include settings for how GoLive handles JavaScripts, and the Network preferences include settings for connectivity and network status.
