Exporting site reports

While viewing a report in the Files tab of Report Results window, you can export the report to an HTML or a tab-delimited text file or create a collection from the results. The HTML and text files contain the same information displayed in the Files tab, and the HTML file also contains links to the pages in the report. The tab-delimited text file is useful if you want to import the report into a spreadsheet or database application. You can create a collection from the report results and view the collection in the navigation or links views.

To export a site report:

  1. Define a query and generate a site report. (See Defining site queries.)
  2. With the Files tab of Report Results window displayed, show the columns you want in the exported report by choosing columns from the Show Columns menu in the View palette.
  3. Choose one of the following from the Report Results window menu:
    • Export Results as HTML creates an HTML file that contains the contents of the Files tab. Enter a name for the HTML file and then click OK.
    • Export Results as Tab-delimited Text creates a tab-delimited text file that contains the contents of the Files tab. Enter a name for the text file and then click OK.
    • Create Collection from Results creates a collection that contains the contents of the Files tab. Enter a name for the collection and then click OK. To view the collection, open the navigation or links views for the site and then select the collection in the Navigation tab in the View palette. (See Creating and using collections.)
