Measuring onscreen color

You can use DigitalColor Meter to help you measure and translate colors on your monitor into industry-standard values, such as CIE, and Tristimulus. You can then use the standard measurements to communicate accurate color values to artists, printers, or other professionals who need to reproduce them.

If you are creating documents for the World Wide Web, you can use DigitalColor Meter to specify color values in your documents. You can measure the RGB (red, green, blue) values, percentages, and Hex values for colors on your screen.

Note: Some of the features for measuring color (CIE 1931, CIE 1976, CIE L*a*b*, and Tristimulus) are available only on some Apple monitors. If your monitor is not one of these monitors or is not an Apple monitor, you may only be able to measure using RGB values, percentages, and RGB Hex values.
