You create slides in a presentation document. You can display the slides on a computer or you can print them on transparencies and display them on an overhead projector.

Presentations can require a lot of memory. You may want to increase the memory available to AppleWorks before you begin.

The basic steps in creating a slide presentation typically include:

1	Create a master slide to establish a consistent format, background, graphics, or other content for the presentation.
2	Create the slides.
3	Organize the slides in the order you want them to appear or to print.
4	If you plan to display the slides on a computer, you can include movies and sounds, use visual transitions between slides, and set slide show playing options.

Tip: You can also make and print notes on slides to help you plan and give your presentation.

Note: Slide dimensions are always 640 x 480 pixels.
