General keyboard shortcuts

    The following shortcuts apply in most documents and frames. Some actions have two or more shortcuts.

Shortcuts for manipulating windows

      Action or command   Keyboard shortcut    
    Scroll down one window in a document window Page Down

    Scroll up one window in a document window Page Up

    Scroll to the beginning of a document window Home

    Scroll to the end of a document window End

    Tile windows vertically (like columns) rather than horizontally (like rows) Option while you choose Tile Windows from the Window menu

Shortcuts for other basic actions

    Cancel selections in a dialog box and close the dialog box -. (period)

    Cancel printing -. (period)

    Center align text or cell data -\ (backslash)

    Check Document Spelling -=

    Check Selection Spelling Shift--Y

    Find/Change -F

    Find Selection Shift--E

    Justify text (align to both margins) Shift--\ (backslash)

    Left align text or cell data -[ (left bracket)

    Move to next field (in most dialog boxes) Tab

    New -N
    (Opens a new word-processing document. You can choose a different document type in the General Preferences panel.)

    Open -O

    Page View Shift--P

    Paste -V, F4

    Print -P

    Quit -Q

    Record Macro/Stop Recording Shift--J

    Right align text or cell data -] (right bracket)

    Save -S

    Save As Shift--S

    Select All -A
