Adding a title page

If you don't want headers or footers to appear on the first page of a word-processing document, designate the first page as a title page.

Note: Even though you can create headers and footers in other document types, you can designate a title page only in a word-processing document.

    To designate a title page:
1 If the document has sections, click with the I-beam pointer anywhere in the section to which you want to add a title page.
2 Choose Section from the Format menu.
3 In the Headers and Footers area of the dialog box, select Title Page.
