Running and stopping slide shows

Once you have created slides in your presentation document, you can run them as a slide show on a computer.

Starting and stopping a slide show

    To start a slide show:
Choose Slide Show from the Window menu.
Tip: You can also click the slide show tab in the Controls window, then click the play button.
Or click the play button in the Button Bar.
If you set the slide advance interval in the slide show panel, each slide automatically appears in sequential order at the specified rate. To control the show manually, see the following section on navigating.

If you don't want the screen resolution to change when you play a slide show:
When you start a slide show, AppleWorks switches to a lower screen resolution. (This enhances performance, especially for presentations that use memory-intensive features such as QuickTime movies.) If you don't want the screen resolution to change when you play a slide show, hold down the Option key while you start the slide show.

If you don't see the Controls window:
Choose Show Presentation Controls from the Window menu.

    To stop a slide show:
Press Q, Esc, or Command -period.
