Layering frames and text

The Arrange menu contains commands that change the layering order of frames and objects. You can use these commands to layer text frames with other kinds of frames. For example, you might want to use a painting frame as a background for a text frame.

    To layer frames:
    1 Select a frame.
2 Choose one of the Move commands from the Arrange menu. For example, to position the frame as a background to the text, choose Move Backward.
You can create and layer as many different frames as you like.

Tip: If you want to use a painting as a background image, you may want to lighten or darken it for text visibility, depending on whether the text over it is light or dark.
