You can connect any combination of freehand objects, regular and irregular polygons, and Bezier shapes to draw intricate designs with repeating shapes or curves.

Connected objects and curves |
To connect objects and curves:
1 |
Select an object or curve and choose Reshape from the Arrange menu. |
2 |
Choose Cut or Copy from the Edit menu to place the object on the Clipboard. |
3 |
Select the second item. |
4 |
If you want to connect the beginning of the first object to the beginning of the second, click the second object's starting point. Otherwise, AppleWorks connects the beginning of the first object to the end of the second. |
5 |
Choose Paste from the Edit menu. |
6 |
Choose Reshape from the Arrange menu again. |
If you don't see the Arrange menu:
If you see the Transform menu and not the Arrange menu, you are in a painting document or frame and therefore cannot connect objects and curves. In a painting, you use different methods for changing the appearance of images. (Because there are significant differences between painting and drawing features, it is important to choose whether you need to paint or draw before you begin creating something.)
