Every document has margins (blank space between the document's content and the edges of the paper). These margins are indicated onscreen by light gray lines called page guides.
Note: In presentation documents, slide dimensions are always 640 x 480 pixels.
To set the margins for a document:
1 |
Choose Document from the Format menu. |
2 |
Type widths for each margin you want to change. |
|
Note: Your selected printer determines the minimum margins. |
|
Tip: To make both inside margins and both outside margins the same, select Mirror Facing Pages. When you select this option, Left becomes Inside and Right becomes Outside. |
To show or hide the margins and page guides in a document:
1 |
Choose Page View from the Window menu (if it's not already checked). |
|
Word-processing and presentation documents always display in Page View. |
2 |
Choose Document from the Format menu. |
3 |
Select or deselect "Show margins" and "Show page guides." |
