About Spreadsheet preferences

    Spreadsheet preferences affect the way the arrow keys and the Enter key behave when you're working with spreadsheet cells.

    Note: Each Spreadsheet preference affects all spreadsheet documents and frames.

      Option   Function    
    Pressing arrow keys Determines the behavior of the arrow keys when you're working in a cell.
    Always Selects Another Cell selects the next cell in the direction of the arrow pressed.
    Moves the insertion point in the entry bar. If the insertion point isn't in the entry bar, pressing an arrow key selects the next cell.
    Tip: Whichever option is selected, you can get the opposite effect by pressing Option and an arrow key.

    Press Enter to confirm entry and Determines the next cell selected after you press Enter.

    Intersheet References Leaves the other document open when a formula in the current document contains a reference to a cell in the other document.
