Reusing text, images, or page attributesIf you have text and images that you want to repeat on every page in your site (such as a navigation bar with lots of image buttons and page links), you can save them as a single source file called a component. By dragging the component's icon from the Objects palette, you can reuse the component on any page. (There is no limit to how many components you can add to a page.) Components on a page remain linked to their source files, so they're automatically updated when you modify the source. (See Using components.) External URLs, e-mail addresses, browser bookmarks, colors with unique names, font sets, and snippets of source code can all be saved in the site window. To reuse one of these site assets, you can drag it from the site window onto a page element or choose it from a menu or palette. (See Working with Site Assets.) |
