Connecting to a WebDAV server

You can connect to or disconnect from a WebDAV server in several ways:

    • Use the WebDAV Server button WebDAV Server button in the toolbar. When you click this button, GoLive disconnects you from the server. The button is enabled only if you have a site open locally in the site window. To use this option, you must already have set up and assigned a WebDAV server to the site. (See Setting up WebDAV servers.)
    • Choose Site > WebDAV Server > Connect/Disconnect. This command only lets you connect to a site that is open locally in the site window. When you choose this command, GoLive disconnects you from the server. To use this option, you must already have set up and assigned a WebDAV server to the site. (See Setting up WebDAV servers.)
    • Use the context menu in the Files tab of the site window. Choose WebDAV Server > Connect or WebDAV Server > Disconnect.
    • Choose File > WebDAV Browser. This command opens the WebDAV Browser dialog box where you can click the Connect button to access a selected WebDAV server. This command lets you connect to any site on a WebDAV server whether the site is open locally in the site window or not.

Note: Personal firewall software can interfere with the WebDAV server connection process. Check your firewall software documentation to find settings to give GoLive access to outside servers.

To connect to a WebDAV server when a site is open locally:

Choose Site > WebDAV Server > Connect, or click the WebDAV Connect/Disconnect button WebDAV Server button in the toolbar.

Note: To connect, you must already have set up a WebDAV server in the Available Servers dialog box and have assigned the server to the site in the site settings. (See Setting up WebDAV servers.)

To connect to a WebDAV server using the WebDAV browser:

  1. Choose File > WebDAV Browser.
  2. Choose a WebDAV server from the Server menu and click Connect.
