Refreshing the site window

You can refresh the list of items in the Files, Diagrams, Library, and Extras tabs in the site window so that you are viewing the actual site--that is, the contents of the root folder (Files tab), the site data folder (Extras tab), or the Diagrams or Library subfolders of the site data folder (Diagrams tab or Library tab). Refreshing the site window might result in files being added to the site window, files being removed, or both. Refreshing is highly recommended if you have been working with files in one of these folders outside GoLive--for example, using the Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac OS) instead of GoLive to move, rename, or delete, files in the site window.

Similarly, if you are connected to an FTP or WebDAV server, you can refresh the FTP or WebDAV tabs to reflect the contents of the current directory on the server.

If you are using a Web Workgroup server, you can also refresh the list of non-file items in the External, Colors, or Font Sets tabs. If you are working in a single user site, you can't refresh these tabs.

Tip iconWhen you import a site, the Files, External, Colors, and Font Sets tabs in the site window are refreshed automatically to provide resources for further site development. As you develop the imported site further, you should refresh these tabs to reflect these developments.
