To attach a folder action script to a folder:

Hold down the Control key and click the folder's icon. |

You may need to turn off the Simple Finder (in the Finder's Preferences window, in the Edit menu) to do this step. |

Choose "Attach a Folder Action" from the menu. |

Select the script you want to attach in the dialog box. |
WARNING: If you aren't sure about the source of a script, don't use it. Use only scripts that you write yourself or have acquired from a reliable source.
To remove a folder action script from a folder:

Note: If the Simple Finder is turned on, you need to turn it off (in the Finder's Preferences window, in the Edit menu) before you can do this step. |

Choose "Remove a Folder Action" from the menu, then select the script you want to remove. |

The script is "detached" from the folder so it no longer runs. The actual script file on your disk is not affected. |
