You can precisely edit an image by working with one pixel at a time.
To edit an image one pixel at a time:

Double-click the pencil to zoom to 800 percent. |

If necessary, scroll to display the area you want to edit. |

Add, remove, or change pixels: |

To add pixels in an area that's currently blank, click or drag with the pencil. |

To remove a pixel that is a color different from the color in the Fill formatting button, double-click the pixel. |

To remove a pixel that is the same color as the Fill formatting button, click the pixel. |

To change a pixel to the color in the Fill formatting button, click the pixel. |

Tip: To remove many pixels at once, use the eraser. |

When you've finished editing pixels, double-click the pencil again to return to 100-percent view. |
If you can't select the pencil:
If you are working in a painting frame, make sure you enter the frame to edit it. If you still can't select the pencil, you probably aren't in a painting frame or document and therefore cannot use this feature. Use the drawing tools instead.
