Copying a painted image's color or other attributes
Picking up the color of an existing image
If an existing image uses a color that you want to reproduce exactly, you can use the eyedropper to copy that color.
To pick up the color of an existing image:

Select the eyedropper in the Tools window: |

In the image that contains the color you want, click the color to pick it up. |

Tip: When picking up a color from a pattern, wallpaper, or gradient, it's a good idea to zoom in until you see the exact pixel you want to select. |

Select a painting tool and paint a new image with the color you picked up. |
Applying the attributes of one image to another
You can apply all the attributes of one part of a painting to another part.
To pick up all image attributes:

Select the area you want to change. |

Move the selected image over the image whose attributes you want to pick up. |

Choose Pick Up from the Transform menu. |

If you like, move the selected image back to its original location, or to another location. |
