Copying an object's color and other attributes

Using the eyedropper, you can copy attributes (such as color, wallpaper, and pen width) from one object to another. You can also copy attributes and use them to create a new object.

    To copy an object's attributes:
1 Select the eyedropper in the Tools window:
2 Click the object whose attributes you want to copy. (For a transparent object, click the border.)
The Fill and Pen formatting buttons in the Tools window change to reflect the new default attributes.
3 Apply the attributes to a new or existing object:
For a new object, select a drawing tool and draw.
For an existing object, click the eyedropper, then hold down the Command key and click the object.
Tip: To use the eyedropper repeatedly without having to select it each time, double-click it. To switch quickly between the currently selected tool and the eyedropper, press the Tab key.
