Working with network software configurations

You can create multiple AppleTalk, Remote Access, TCP/IP, or modem configurations, then switch configurations instead of repeatedly modifying the settings of the active configuration.

    To create a new configuration:
1 In the AppleTalk, Remote Access, TCP/IP, or Modem control panel, open the File menu and choose Configurations.
2 Select a configuration from the list and click Duplicate.
    3 Click Make Active.
4 Modify settings for the new configuration.

    To switch configurations:
1 In the AppleTalk, Remote Access, TCP/IP, or Modem control panel, open the File menu and choose Configurations.
2 Select a configuration from the list and click Make Active.

Tip: You can use the Location Manager to group network software configurations with each other and with other system settings, then switch them all at once using the Control Strip.
