Similar species (if any): Sisymbrium loeselii is not reported as present in Wisconsin or Minnestoa according to the FNA, but is present in all the midwestern states according to the USDA database. Sisymbrium officinale (Hedge Mustard) is similar to i>Sisymbrium loeselii. The two can be differentiated in the following manner: S. officinale has flowers that are about 5 to 8 mm wide and fruits typically 1 to 1.4 sometimes up 1.8 cm in length, whereas S. loeselii has flowers about 12 to 16 mm wide and fruits typically 2 to 3.5 cm and up to 5 cm in length.
