GPS Flower Search
At this time, only about 62% of searchable flowers have a precise gps location available. This feature is a work in progress. Also keep in mind that the gps coordinates record the camera location where the photo was taken, which in most cases is very close to the actual flower location. Camera gps coordinates can be slightly to somewhat inaccurate, for example, when tree cover is particularly dense.
You can search flower locations in the Park by either gps coordinates in DMS format (degrees, minutes, seconds), e.g. 44° 47' 43.818" N 91° 30' 49.314" W, or in DD format (decimal degrees), e.g. 44.795505, -91.513698 (the minus sign signifies West of the Prime Meridian). DMS format will be converted to DD format using: latitude = degrees + (minutes/60) + (seconds/3600) and longitude = -{degrees + (minutes/60) + (seconds/3600)}.
Some reference locations in the Park are as follows:

2. Putnam trail end (near the State Street overpass): (44.794510, -91.495583) 44° 47' 40.236" N 91° 29' 44.099" W
3. Bottom of the staircase (that leads up to the McPhee Center): (44.796078, -91.501608) 44° 47' 45.881" N 91° 30' 5.789" W
