If you aren't notified when new applications are installed:
Always log in as the Owner before you install new applications.

Click the Other tab and make sure that the "Notify when new applications have been installed" box is selected. |
If Panels and Limited users see error messages the first time they use certain applications:
The Owner must open each application at least one time before it can be opened by Panels and Limited users.
If an application doesn't work in the Panels or Limited environment:
Some applications are not compatible with the Panels and Limited user environments. Users who need to access those applications must have Normal privileges.
If you delete an application from the hard disk but it still appears in the User Applications list:
To remove deleted applications:

Click Select None. |

Choose All Applications from the Show pop-up menu, and then click Select All. |
If Limited users open applications to which you have not given them access:
If you have Script Editor (an application for creating AppleScript scripts) on your computer, Limited users can use it to open any application. To prevent them from doing so, restrict their access to the Script Editor in the Multiple Users control panel.
If Limited users can't do certain tasks in Mac Help:
Mac Help includes tasks, such as changing the desktop appearance, that require the use of control panels and applications. If users can't complete these tasks, give the users access to the necessary items.
If CDs to which users don't have access play automatically at startup:
Open the the QuickTime Settings control panel and turn off the CD Autoplay feature.
