Storing passwords and certificates on a keychain
Some applications that require a password for access allow you to add your password to a "keychain." For example, a keychain can include your password to an AppleShare IP server or Internet account. Keychains can also store certificates (or "digital IDs"). Keychains allow you to store all your security information in one place. Once you unlock the keychain, applications can retrieve your passwords as needed.
