If your computer crashes, freezes, or won't start up

    First, make a note of any clues to the cause of the problem, such as
    recently installed software (especially items added to the System Folder)
    programs you had open when the problem occurred, and exactly what you did
    the version of system software and applications you're using
    information on the screen, such as an error message

    This information can help you determine the problem you're having, and is useful to the service and support technician if you have to call for help.

    Tip: Use the Apple System Profiler to create a report about your computer. Print and save the report so that you can refer to it if needed.
