If your computer is equipped with IR (infrared) technology that uses the IRTalk protocol, you can communicate with another computer that has built-in IRTalk support or uses an external infrared communication device.
To share files using IRTalk, choose Infrared Port (IRTalk) from the "Connect via" pop-up menu in the AppleTalk control panel, then select the computer you want to connect to in the Chooser.
Open the AppleTalk control panel for me.
If the Infrared Port (IRTalk) choice is not available:
Make sure that IRTalk is selected in the Options section of the Infrared control panel.
Open the Infrared control panel for me.
If the computer you want to connect to is not available in the Chooser:
Make sure that file sharing is turned on and that the other computer is set up to use IRTalk.
