Viewing QuickTime VR movies

    QuickTime VR is software that lets your computer display "virtual reality" environments. You can find QuickTime VR movies in many of the software packages available on CD-ROM, or on the World Wide Web.

    Panoramic movies:
    You can use QuickTime VR to view 360-degree scenes created from photographs or computer graphics. You use your mouse and keyboard to rotate objects, zoom in or out of a scene, look around, and navigate from one scene to another.

    To look in different areas of the panoramic scene:
    Hold down the mouse button and drag within the picture.
    Experiment with the controls to learn what they do.
    Tip: If you can't move the image, you may need to quit other open applications to free up some memory.

    Object movies:
    You can use QuickTime VR to view and manipulate three-dimensional objects created from photographs or computer graphics. You use your mouse to move and manipulate the objects.

    To view different sides of the object:
    Hold down the mouse button and drag within the picture.
    Experiment with the controls to learn what they do.
    Tip: If you can't move the image, you may need to quit other open applications to free up some memory.

Playing a QuickTime VR movie with QuickTime Player

    To play a QuickTime VR movie:
    Drag the movie to the QuickTime Player icon.
    Find the QuickTime Player application for me.

    To look in different areas of the panoramic scene:
    Hold down the mouse button and drag within the picture.
    Experiment with the controls to learn what they do.
